What is BeLife Kombucha?

BeLife Kombucha is a fermented tea beverage. It is made from natural fermentation of BIO green Japanese Sencha tea, sugar and active kombucha culture (SCOBY), rich in yeasts and bacteria and amino acids.

After fermentation, the flavor is added to the kombucha base, which is prepared from BIO fruit, herbal or black teas.

KOMBUCHA IS NOT TEA! Although teas play an important role in kombucha preparation.

Green tea, like sugar, is a nutrient for SCOBY and it is needed for the fermentation process only. All together  produces a drink full of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, antioxidants and even lactobacilli.

Despite its production, BeLife kombucha is still naturally and traditionally fermented. This means that we do not use shortcuts in fermentation – we let the culture live its life as if we were doing it at home. We do it in suitable premises, with constantly the same conditions and we monitor fermentation every day to keep the product safe for customers. .

This is one of our secrets why our fermentation is easy to drink and enjoy – different from other kombucha on the market.

What is Kombucha?

The history of kombucha dates back 2,000 years to Far East Asia. Her birthplace is said to be China, although it was named by the Japanese. We read about Kombucha in Japan in the stories of the Korean doctor dr. Kombu, who brought the potion through China to the Japanese emperor. In Japan, as early as 414, Samurai used this miraculous drink for energy to help them in their fights. According to the aforementioned healer, the drink is also said to be the first part of the name – the second part of the name, given to it by the Chinese word for tea – chá.

Why is there talk of bacteria in kombucha?

Kombucha contains good bacteria. The fact is that in the 19th century, due to poor hygienic and sanitary practices, there was a misinterpretation of ALL bacteria. Not all bacteria are bad, on the contrary, some are essential for our lives as they help us with metabolism and other processes in the human body. Bacteria in our body outnumber our cells in a 9: 1 ratio! Bacterial cells tell human cells what to do, how to behave, how to multiply, and so on. In short – our body needs bacteria!

Why is it good to drink kombucha?

Drinking kombucha helps you to improve your well-being as it promotes detoxification of the body and improves the efficiency of your digestive system, which increases the resilience of your immune system. In this regard, all fermented foods (sauerkraut, kefir, kimchi, tempeh, …) are good, as they adapt perfectly to the human body. Nowadays, it is difficult to find a drink that can be drunk without a guilty conscience while enjoying the taste and all its positive properties.

When should I drink kombucha?

You can drink kombucha on any occasion, we recommend eating before, during and / or after a meal.

Can a kombucha drink be made without sugar?

Kombucha drink can not ferment without sugar.

Sucrose is most easily digested with the help of yeast. Yeasts consume sugar, which they convert into CO2 (carbon dioxide, in the form of bubbles in the drink) and ethanol (alcohol). At BeLife kombucha, in addition to natural bubbles, we gently add CO2. The drink is non-alcoholic.

Are the positive effects of kombucha medically confirmed?

NO, the positive effects of kombucha are not medically confirmed, so we do not promote BeLife kombucha as a drink that helps cure diseases! If you have any concerns about drinking kombucha, consult your doctor or pharmacist before using kombucha.

The ingredients of kombucha are natural – alive drink (or food).

Those who want a kombucha drink often are keen on changing their lifestyle or improving their eating habits. With an unhealthy lifestyle, we bring toxins into our body, so the body often needs cleansing. Drinking kombucha stimulates the excretion of toxins stored in the body, speeds up digestion and therefore helps to clean our body. Kombucha drink helps us in detoxification, however, we should consume it in moderation, because the purification process can sometimes be too fast, so we can feel discomfort in the abdomen or digestive tract.

Kombucha drink works differently on each body, so we recommend moderate drinking, and any change in intake should be gradual to avoid sudden changes and reactions of our body. Individuals who are new to the drink are advised to start consuming in moderation (e.g. two bottles of BeLife kombucha per day), preferably before, at or after a meal.

Does drinking kombucha have side effects?

Drinking kombucha has no side effects unless you are allergic to tea or yeast.

What does kombucha taste like?

The taste is refreshing, a little sweet, but you hardly feel the sugar, and you feel the bubbles of carbon dioxide (CO2) more – the taste can remind you of a soft vinegary apple cider.  Kombucha has a really special taste that is hard to describe – we suggest you try it and give it a chance to enjoy its benefits.
